Right on Rua do Poço dos Negros, in the heart of Lisbon, two brands with soul and purpose are establishing themselves in the world of conscious consumption: Green Beans and Sapato Verde, both integrated into the company Lisboa com Ética, Lda., a new member of AIP, founded on March 22, 2017.
Under the management of Alexandra Dâmaso Pardal, the company combines innovation, sustainability and ethics in a unique space that brings together a 100 percent vegan grocery store and café with a “totally cruelty-free” shoe and accessories store, highlights the brand owner.
Green Beans is not just a café or a food store: it is a life project that was born from Mário and Alexandra's desire to offer a conscious and tasty alternative for those who seek to live more sustainably.
At Green Beans you can find everything from chocolates and plant-based drinks to cosmetics, hygiene products, ecological detergents and healthy snacks, all of plant-based origin. With a policy of reusable packaging and natural rubber-based adhesives, the brand makes a clear commitment to the environment. In addition, the space's vegan café invites you to enjoy a practical, creative and tasty gastronomic experience — with dishes made with the same ingredients available in the store.
Next to the grocery store, Sapato Verde is proud to be the first 100% vegan shoe store in Portugal, founded in Cascais in 2014. The space, built with recycled and natural materials, is a true showcase of ethical and ecological alternatives, ranging from shoes and clothes to accessories, cosmetics and books.
Recently, the brands underwent a change of address, after seven years on Rua das Chagas. Now, with a new lease of life and a location at Rua do Poço dos Negros, 15-17, Green Beans and Sapato Verde strengthen their commitment to a more conscious, ethical and responsible lifestyle, establishing themselves as a meeting point for those who believe in a more compassionate and sustainable world.
