AIP took farmers from Costa da Caparica to Madrid for technical visits

AIP provided two intensive days of learning to farmers, technicians and partners who participated in a visit, on the 14th and 15th of May, to the Municipality of Fuenlabrada, in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Madrid, within the scope of the PRR OIL2 Costa da Caparica, a project led by the Chamber Municipal de Almada and in which the Association is an executing partner, which aims to install the Terras da Costa e Mar Agrofood Park.

Representatives of the entities involved in the project, including the mayor of Almada, Inês de Medeiros, were received by the Ayuntamiento of Fuenlabrada. On this occasion it was possible to learn about the strategy followed by this Spanish municipality for the development of regional agriculture.

Through technical visits to the Fuenlabrada Agrarian Park, Logistics Center for Local Producers of the Madrid Rural Project (Mercado de Proximidad), Servicio de Asesoramiento Técnico – Madrid Agroasesor (IMIDRA), Instituto Madrileño de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural, Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDRA) and Technological Transfer Center “LA CHIMENEA”, the Portuguese delegation had the opportunity to see on site a reality similar to that being developed in Costa da Caparica.
