Simplification of liability verification and credit grading in the insolvency process

Decree-Law no. 57/2022, of 25 August, was approved, approving the simplification of the processing of the incident of verification of liabilities and classification of credits in the insolvency process.

This Decree-Law gives the insolvency administrator the power to, together with the list of recognized credits, present a proposal for the graduation of these credits, allowing the judge, in case of agreement and in the absence of challenges, to limit himself to ratifying both documents.

This measure is approved within the scope of Component 18 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan ('Economic Justice and Business Environment) with the aim of increasing the efficiency of insolvency and company recovery processes.

This diploma takes effect on August 26, 2022.
