On May 27th, starting at 2:30 pm, SGS Portugal will open the “Fire & Safety” Safety School in Sines. This is the first school of its kind in Portugal dedicated to theoretical and practical training in the area of health and safety at work.
The new unit is the result of the experience accumulated by SGS over ten years in similar schools located in Spain. The objective is to respond to the current and future needs of national organizations in the field of occupational safety.
João Paulo Alves, coordinator of the new SGS Safety School in Portugal, says that this opening has been in preparation for several months and comes in response to the demands of the national market. It also highlights the strong practical component of the training as a differentiating element.
“This opening, which has been in preparation for several months, is the result of the current needs of SGS clients in our country and anticipating the future needs of national organizations. I believe that the School will become, from its opening, a national example in terms of training in health and safety at work, in a wide range of areas, not only due to the excellent technical teaching staff, but mainly due to the differentiation of the training model, with a high practical component”, explained the person in charge.
The inauguration takes place at the SGS facilities in ZALSINES (Building A1, 7520-203 Sines), with a program that includes institutional presentations, practical demonstrations and a networking moment. Participation is subject to prior registration, available through the link: https://bit.ly/4jHWTJL.
