Secil-Outão factory receives Bronze certification from the Concrete Sustainability Council
The Secil-Outão plant has just received Bronze certification from the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC). In an assessment that encompasses the factory's sustainable performance in terms of financial and environmental management and the social and economic impact, the Secil factory obtained a rating of 65.88 percentage points, with emphasis on the partial rating of 93.33 percentage points regarding social responsibility.
This certification meets Secil's commitment to following international trends and guidelines in the area of sustainability. The CSC promotes responsible concrete production, certifying factories that operate (along the entire value chain) in a sustainable way. With the aim of informing and demonstrating the potential of concrete as a construction material for a greener future, it promotes a global certification system, which encompasses cement production, aggregate supply and concrete production.
