The construction company Candeias & Silva S.A., a new member of AIP based in the Industrial Zone of Vilamoura, “in order to achieve many of its objectives, it risks making a difference”, says Adelino Candeias da Silva, founder and administrator of the company, when revealing that its strategy business is based on “excellent commercial relations with the internal market, but also on excellent connections with community partners, namely Spain”.
The history of Candeias & Silva, a family-run company with two partners, Adelino Manuel Candeias da Silva and his wife, Maria Vitoria Martins da Silva, begins on July 1, 1990, in Vilamoura, Quarteira, municipality of Loulé , with the rental of machines and trucks, excavations and earthmoving.
Years later, in December 1998, the company chose to increase its share capital and modify its main object of activity, which became the civil construction of public and private works, namely urban infrastructures and paving, mostly intended for , municipalities as well as municipal and private companies.
“We believed that in this way we would be able to respond adequately and effectively to the growing needs of customers”, recalls Adelino Candeias da Silva: “With consecutive positive exercise results and completely solidified in the Algarve region, in the area of civil construction, we began to invest in other points of the market with consequent expansion of headquarters facilities”.
Thus, in 2001, the Algarve company expanded its facilities – offices and construction site – and added public transport of goods for hire to its object of activity. Maintaining his vision of expansion, the founder also established the company ALGARBETUME, an asphalt plant. At the end of 2009, it complemented the business with road signage, horizontal and vertical.
“Currently, the company has a share capital of 360 200 euros and hopes to continue to prosper in the competitive market with innovation, quality and competence”, predicts Adelino Silva, explaining that “it has a linear organizational structure with a departmental design by areas: “ Using this structure, the company simplifies staff training, differentiating their functions and allowing direct communication between elements at various hierarchical levels. The external environment is increasingly a source of resources and competitiveness. Customer expectations are increasingly high and demanding, as they increasingly have a greater variety of services at their disposal. Therefore, in order to satisfy and respond to this same customer, the company's methodology includes personalized, fast service and a constant search for excellence in the services provided”.
As a result of its performance, the company obtained the PME Líder diploma in 2023 and PME Excelência in 2022.
