Ascenza reinforces its contribution to the social inclusion of young people, promoting equal access to education and academic merit through the renewal of its partnership with the EPIS 2022 Social Grants program, implemented by the Business Association for Social Inclusion (EPIS).

The EPIS 2022 Social Grants are intended to support, in a continuous and targeted way, students from needy families. The support makes it possible to accompany young people on their academic path – secondary and university education –, as well as rewarding good practices in Education, for social inclusion and professional and/or occupational insertion.

This year's edition represents an increase compared to the 2021 programme, with a total of 163 Social Grants (+10%) and a record investment of 337 thousand euros (+16%).

The program has a national scope and is organized into seven areas and 15 different categories. In the context of the war in Europe, EPIS extended this program to young students from refugee or displaced families studying in Portugal. Applications are open until the 23rd of September and all schools, institutions and students studying in Portugal can apply.

Alongside ASCENZA, the program has 34 other social investors: ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal, Águas do Vale do Tejo, Avipronto, Banco Montepio, Bial, Boehringer Ingelheim, Brisa, Caima, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Cires, Cofaco Açores, CTT – Correios de Portugal S.A., Deloitte, Fertagus, Fresenius Kabi, AGEAS Foundation – Acting with heart, Amélia de Mello Foundation, Galp Foundation, Luso-American Development Foundation, Monjardino Foundation, Santander Foundation, Jerónimo Martins Group, Pestana Group, Omnova, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, Sogrape, Soroptimist International Clube Lisboa Caravela, Super Bock Group, Tabaqueira, Vhumana and Zurich and three individual donors, Diogo Simões Pereira, Duarte Mineiro and Ernesto Silva Vieira.
