Around 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
with the capacity to incorporate international value chains and belonging to
the support sectors of the strategic sectors of the Portuguese economy will
join AIP's new internationalization project, which has six specific markets:
Brazil, India, Mexico, Scandinavian countries, Morocco and Saudi Arabia. This
project aims to boost the sustainable growth of participating SMEs through
their integration into international value chains, while simultaneously promoting
innovation, adaptation to global demands and the creation of a collaborative
network.
The strategic markets Brazil, India, Mexico,
Scandinavian countries, Morocco and Saudi Arabia were selected for their
geoeconomic relevance, growth potential and complementarity with the skills of
national SMEs.
Over the next 24 months, the project will include
strategic, technical and financial support, with the aim of fostering direct
contact with potential partners and customers, joint participation in four
international fairs, the organisation of four business missions, the
implementation of a joint international promotion campaign, the carrying out of
market studies on target destinations, the development of a digital platform
for international promotion to support the ongoing promotion of participating
companies and products and registration in global marketplaces. The
participation of national companies and products in these platforms contributes
decisively to the recognition and notoriety of the Portugal brand.
The main objective of this initiative, co-financed by
Portugal 2030, is to promote the internationalisation of SMEs, strengthen their
competitiveness, increase their capacity to adapt to international markets and
foster a collaborative ecosystem. The aim is to create a cooperation network
that allows the sharing of knowledge, good practices and the gain of critical
mass to respond effectively to the challenges of external markets.
