The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito has increased its production capacity with a bottling line for 375 ml bottles, special formats and small batches. This new line has a total production capacity of 2000 bottles/hour, and resulted in a total investment of 232 956 euros, supported by PDR2020 – measure “10.2.1.2 – Small investments in processing and marketing”. For José Miguel Almeida, chairman of the board of directors, "this line is a complement to the current one, allowing us to continue at the forefront of production, reinforcing the bottling of 375 ml bottles, special formats and small batches." Annually, the winery receives around eight million kilos of grapes, coming from 1500 hectares of vineyards, which originate six million liters of wine.
